Producing beautiful felt takes time. We want you to be able to enjoy and appreciate each stage of the process, therefore our workshops are enjoyed over a day. Felting is a wonderful way to relax and de-stress – you can’t make it happen quickly, it takes time so have fun, relax and enjoy it!
Flat Felting
Come and join us to create your own beautiful pictures created using only pure merino wool. We will take you through the basic steps for making a flat piece of felt with any design you wish to create. Dependant on time you may be able to make more than one piece to take home with you.
Jewellery & Flowers
The day will be spent making colourful felt ‘beads’ which you can then make up into beautiful necklaces, bracelets, pins even earings! See the different effects when you mix felt beads with ribbons, glass beads, and other small details to make a unique piece of wearable art. You can also make flower coursages in a range of striking colours. You will be the centre of attention!
Materials will be provided but if you have some additional glass/fabric beads that you would like to bring along you are more than welcome.
Beautiful Bags & Purses
Do you have an outfit that you can never find a handbag to match? – well you no lnger have an excuse – come along and make your own! During this workshop we will show you how to make a small bag using the ‘resist’ method to produce a seamless finish. You wont want to wait to use it and show it off to your friends!
3D Shapes
This workshop allows you to come along and decide on the day what you would like to make. All projects on offer use the ‘Resist Method’ to make bags, purses, hats, bowls and much more, all with a seamless finish. You can let your imagination run free with design and colour. We stock a large amount of merino wool in an array of fabulous colours. Come and join the growing number of people having ‘Fun with Felting’
Nuno Felting
A very fascinating felting technique combining wool and fabrics to produce beautiful effects. During this workshop you will combine merino wool with silks, organza’s, linens and other fabrics to produce a gorgeous scarf or table piece.
Children’s Holiday Activities 10am until 12.30pm.
Children find felting as amazing as us adults, they also have fantastic imagination and their designs are often incredibly unique. Come and spend a rewarding couple of hours with your child and watch them create something you will treasure forever. Children will get the opportunity to explore something new and make a picture, or a ball or anything else they choose and take home the finished article!
Christmas Workshops
These workshops are going to be wonderful fun, come and join us and get into the festive spirit. We will be making stockings, gifts, tree and table decorations. Combining beautiful coloured wools, glitters and buttons you will produce some truly stunning pieces of felt. Come and make something beautiful for you, your home or a gift.
Felting workshops are limited to a maximum of eight people to ensure everybody has the experience they deserve. All materials will be provided unless specified.
